Trading BooksVillage Books is a general interest bookstore which is always looking for good quality books. We will consider giving trade-credits or cash for books brought to us (see below). We are selective on what we can take and the amount to be offered. Please call ahead if you are bringing in a large number of books. Cash offers may take up to 24-hrs to process; payments over $20.00 will be by check.
At this time we are not accepting Harlequin/Regency romances, Magazines, Reader Digest copies, textbooks, encyclopedias or library editions.
The TRADE-CREDIT policy is as follows: Trade-credits can be used to purchase used BOOKS & AUDIOBOOKS. The amount you receive in trade credit is dependent on the CONDITION of the book and our need. Trade credit is typically 25-50% of our selling price.
We have no “TAKE BACK” guarantee for items purchased from us. However, mass market paperbacks purchased from us and returned in saleable condition are usually accepted back for trade credit. We will not take back books that are dirty/greasy, have split spines, torn covers, water damage, etc.
.
We do not guarantee to take back items purchased from us.
Trade-credits cannot be exchanged for cash. Trade-credits cannot be used on new books. Trade-credits will be voided if not used within a two year period. Up to $20.00 in trade credit may be used toward the purchase price of a single item.
Processing Fee: Beginning February 1, 2006, there will be a 25 cent fee charged on each item purchased with trade credit. This fee is waived with a cash purchase of $5.00 and above.
The BUYING policy is as follows:
The amounts we pay out in cash will be substantially lower than what we offer in trade-credits. Rule of thumb would be 10-20% of our shelf price. If you have a large collection of books, hard to find antiquarian, literary fiction or regional history, we can make an offer.
We reserve the right to amend this policy at any time. Jan. 2006 |
